Ant-man and the Wasp!
Anyone else enjoy Ant-Man? Of course you did! Because it was brilliant! So in order to properly cash in on the genius that is Paul Rudd, Marvel has officially announced the sequel to be released July 6, 2018.
The sequel will be called Ant-Man and The Wasp and what is most surprising is that it will be released BEFORE Captain Marvel. Poor Carol, keeps getting her movie pushed back. But then this gives Kevin and co. more time to actually find someone to play Ms. Danvers.
Hope Van Dyne will therefore beat Carol to being the first female hero to feature in a movie title as she appears alongside Scott Lang for some more miniature mayhem.
Ant-Man’s second adventure will also lead to Black Panther being moved back to February 16, 2018 and Captain Marvel now set to be released on March 8, 2019.
The announcement of Ant-Man and the Wasp follows the success of Ant-Man, which has earned $178.5M domestically and $231.3M internationally for a global total of $409.8M. It’s the #9 film of the year domestically, and opens in its final international market, China, on October 16.
Marvel also announced three new movies for 2020.
Ant-Man’s next appearance will come in Captain America: Civil War.
