Spectacular Spider-Man

Spectacular Spider-Man

Has anybody else seen this image floating around the internet?

The Marvel rumour-mill has been going off full tilt this morning with reports of a baby-faced Nick Robinson being cast as the newest and youngest version of our favourite web-head.

I wish I could say that we have an official statement to go with this logo but the truth is we don’t. At the moment it’s just a rumour and I have to say I’m not buying it.

The one simple fact that makes it probably a fake is that it sports the Marvel Studios logo above the title, and if you remember the official statement from when it was announced that Spidey could re-join the MCU, Sony Pictures are still retaining the rights to all future Spider-Man movies.

While there is an agreement between the studios that will allow Spider-Man to appear in Marvel Studios movies (we assume Captain America: Civil War and then Avengers: Infinity Wars), his own solo movies and those of his associated characters will still be released by Sony Pictures.

Sorry gang, don’t think we have our new Spidey just yet, but it still could be any day now.
